Shah Rukh Khan has achieved unmatched stardom in Bollywood with his charming looks, charismatic screen presence, wit, and memorable roles. But, beyond that on-screen magic, he is also admired for being a supportive husband to his wife, Gauri Khan. Unlike some stars who ask their wives to quit their careers, Shah Rukh Khan has been a pillar for Gauri, who has established a successful career as an interior designer and entrepreneur. One of her latest ventures is Torii, a Mumbai based luxury restaurant with aesthetic interiors and premium quality food. However, the venture recently got called out over the quality of its ingredients, dragging it into the middle of a fiasco.
Influencer, Sarthak Sachdeva accuses Gauri Khan’s restaurant of serving ‘fake paneer’
Food influencers often visit and share reviews from celebrity-run restaurants that tell people how the other part of society dines in their extravagant lifestyle. Such videos became popular and contribute to building a reputation, and Gauri Khan’ Torii faced a similar situation. Food influencer and YouTuber, Sarthak Sachdeva visited the restaurant a few days ago. They shared a video from his visit where he claimed that the elite restaurant serves fake paneer (cottage cheese) that contains starch, a mark of adulteration. In the video, the influencer did an iodine tincture test on a piece of paneer served at Torii that was used to identify the level of starch in it. Soon, the paneer changed its colour to black and blue when the iodine touched. Sharing his shock at the test, Sarthak said:
“Shah Rukh Khan ke restaurant mein paneer nakli tha. Ye dekh ke mere toh hosh udd gaye the.”
