(ANSA) – SINGAPORE, 28 MAG – The Italian Film Festival returns to Singapore with a dynamic and rich programme, offering viewers a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the vibrancy of contemporary Italian cinema. Organised by the Italian Embassy in Singapore in collaboration with The Projector and the Singapore Film Society, this year’s edition takes on special significance as it celebrates the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and Singapore.
The event will take place from 7 to 22 June 2025 at The Projector, a local independent cinema located in Cineleisure. The selection includes an exceptional variety of films ranging from fiction, documentary, animation and art films, presenting both established masters and new promises.
The festival will open with ‘Diamanti’, by Ferzan Özpetek. The closure will be entrusted to ‘Arsa’, an experimental audiovisual experience by the artist duo Masbedo, whose work, encompassing video, installations, cinema, performance, avant-garde theatre and sound design, has featured at prestigious festivals such as Locarno, Venice and Rotterdam.
