(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 25 – Three workers are dead after falling from a goods elevator at a construction site in Naples early on Friday.
The three were working on the renovation of a building on Via San Giacomo dei Capri.
Workplace deaths are a major problem in Italy and Premier Giorgia Meloni’s government has said boosting health and safety is a priority.
Workplace deaths in Italy rose by one last year to 1,202, workplace accident insurance agency INAIL said in its annual report earlier this month. (ANSA).
