TV News Advisory: OTSO Ultra Trail Serra Montsant – Costa Daurada

On October 11, a new edition of the Otso Ultra Trail Serra de Montsant – Costa Daurada will take place — a must-attend event for all trail running lovers and fans of unique natural surroundings. The Serra de Montsant Natural Park, one of the most iconic locations in the area, will serve as the backdrop for this race that blends sport, scenery, and emotion in equal measure.

The event offers a wide range of distances designed so that any runner, regardless of their level, can find their challenge. From the demanding 63 km Ultra, to the 44 km Marathon, the 25 km Trail, the 11 km distance (also available as a hike), and the 7 km Start Trail.

The event is proudly supported by Otso Sport as the title sponsor and aligns with the efforts of the Diputació de Tarragona Costa Daurada, which aims to promote the region as a benchmark for sports tourism. The organization seeks to go beyond just providing a sporting experience, working actively to ensure respect for and preservation of the Natural Park, implementing sustainable measures so that this privileged environment remains a treasure for future generations. In this regard, they are working toward renewing the Segell Verd-FEEC environmental certification.

A major new feature for the 2025 edition is that, for the first time, UTSM – Costa Daurada will offer cash prizes in the Ultra Trail 65k and Marathon 45k categories. A total of €2,600 will be distributed: €1,600 for the Ultra Trail and €1,000 for the Marathon. With this initiative, the goal is to attract top-level athletes aiming for strong performances and a chance to win.
