Letitia’s previous indictment was dismissed in November 2025 after a judge raised eyebrows over the prosecutor’s appointment and labeled it illegal. The prosecutors claim that James allegedly committed bank fraud and that the information she provided in the mortgage documents when purchasing a house was completely false.
