A 25-year-old groom dies minutes after tying the mangalsutra around his bride’s neck
The groom named, Praveen Kurne, aged 25 years, got married at Parthanahalli village in Athani taluk of Belagavi district on May 17, 2025. The wedding reportedly took place in Nandikeshwar Kalyana Mantapa, a marriage hall in Jamkhandi town of Bagalkot district in Karnataka. As per the reports, it was only after the groom tied the knot, and tied the mangalsutra around the bride’s neck, that they stood up on the stage for the Aartakshate ritual, wherein the guests blessed the couple with rice and turmeric.
