38th Comtrade Belgrade Marathon

The largest sports event in the region, the Comtrade Belgrade Marathon, will take place on April 6th. The number of registered participants has already surpassed previous years. Currently, over 13,500 runners are registered, with 2,860 coming from 73 different countries.

The 38th Comtrade Belgrade Marathon is of significant importance for both the City of Belgrade and the Republic of Serbia. The event will feature races of 42 km, 21 km, and 10 km, as well as a “Race of Joy”. A record number of elite runners is expected on April 6th. This year, the races will start at different times to help ease congestion at the start and at the refreshment stations.

The 38th Comtrade Belgrade Marathon will also include the Belgrade Marathon Running Expo for the third year. Hall 2A of the Belgrade Fair will serve as a meeting place for sports enthusiasts, fitness lovers, and recreational participants. Attendees will have the chance to explore a wide range of exhibitors offering educational and entertaining programs. Additionally, competitors will be able to pick up their race packets at the same location.

A particularly important aspect of the Belgrade Marathon is its humanitarian efforts, carried out through the Heroes of the Belgrade Marathon Foundation. From March 1 to April 1, applications are open for runners in the marathon, half marathon, and 10 km (sold out) races who wish to dedicate their kilometers to the SMS-per-kilometer humanitarian campaign. Each kilometer run will be converted into a donation by texting “HEROJI” to 3023.

As part of the event’s accompanying program, the Sports Forum of the Belgrade Marathon will feature various guest speakers from Serbia and abroad, representing the fields of sports, medicine, and management.

Citizens and visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy themselves at Republic Square, where a sports village will be set up with the participation of sponsors and partners. The area will feature performances by musical artists, a DJ station, and a variety of activations.
