Jason Statham has one of the cleanest screen promises in modern action cinema: put him in a bad situation, give him a target, let him move with purpose, and the movie already has a pulse. He’s been put in a stereotype. He loves it. We all love it. He does not need ten speeches or tortured mythology and Statham’s best films understand the pleasure of watching a man who can read a room, use his body clearly, and make violence feel like problem-solving.
