Best Actor shared between two stars, Best Actress and Best Hindi Film
The 71st National Film Award for Best Actor was given to not one, but two stars of Hindi cinema. Shah Rukh Khan was honoured for his acting in the 2023 film, Jawan and won the Best Actor award after 33 years. He shared the award with Vikrant Massey, who also won the title for his exceptional performance in 12th Fail. Vikrant Massey expressed his gratitude for winning the award and said:
“Today, if I may say so, a 20-year-old boy’s dream has come true. I am eternally grateful to the audiences for honouring my performances and for recommending this film with such love. It is a privilege to be sharing my first National Award with an icon like Shah Rukh Khan.”
