An 80-year-old man in Ahmedabad tested positive for human metapneumovirus (HMPV) and is currently stable and being treated at a private hospital. He had no international travel history. This is the second HMPV case in Gujarat, with an eight-year-old also suspected of having the virus in Himmatnagar.
