Krystina, owner of Under the Sun and animal rescuer in Ukraine, is the best of humanity. Sadly, she witnesses the worst of humanity – those who abuse animals. She received a call for help for a dog brutally injured by a cruel person.
She arrived to find a dog with a gaping head wound who needed emergency care to survive. He was rushed to a clinic where he received pain medication, antibiotics, and surgery to close the wound.
The brave pup didn’t let his painful past change his sweet demeanor as he wagged his tail for his caretakers. Krystina shared his heartbreaking story, and it reached a woman in Scotland who decided to show him the love he deserves.
He left Ukraine and his pain behind to focus on the one thing he has been searching for- a loving home. He is enjoying long walks with his new mom in Scotland’s countryside and cuddling up with her at night. Love healed what cruelty tried to destroy.
