Rescued Kitten with Inflamed Eye Needs Surgery to See Again

Petey, an eight-month-old black kitten, has had a rough start to life. He was found with an injured eye that is impacting his vision and causing him a lot of discomfort, but there is still hope.

A portion of his eye lid is missing causing his fur to rub on his eye causing inflammation. He was examined by a vet and eye specialist who recommend reconstructive eye surgery to give him his best chance at seeing clearly again.

He needs your support to get the medical care he needs to heal. With your donations, Greater Good Charities’ Emergency Animal Medical fund can help injured and sick animals in need of medical care. Together, we can save lives.

Petey is on medication to keep him comfortable. He remains a friendly kitten who leans into gentle hands, purrs when content, and greets each day with a trusting spirit. With timely surgery and ongoing care, he can leave the pain behind and experience the world the way every kitten deserves—chasing toys, soaking up sunshine, and looking into the eyes of the family who will one day love him forever.
