Aamir Khan is one of the most loved superstars of all time. After Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, Aamir’s films have been known to leave a strong mark on his millions of fans. However, one of his films, PK, directed by Rajkumar Hirani in 2014, divided the nation, as some enjoyed the take on religion, while others called it an attack. Now, in an interview with Rajat Sharma for his show, Aap Ki Adalat, Aamir responded to the allegations that PK endorsed love jihad.
Aamir Khan talked about PK being against religion
Aamir was shocked by such a big claim. He clarified that they are not against any religion. He added that their motive was just to make people cautious of those who exploit religion to fool the common man in order to extract money. Aamir was quoted as saying:
“They’re wrong. We’re not against any religion. We respect all religions and all religious people. That film just tells us to be cautious of those who exploit religion to fool the common man in order to extract money from them. You’ll find people like that in every religion. That was the film’s only purpose.”
