(ANSA) – ROMA, 25 SET – The Embassy of Italy in Addis Ababa celebrated the second edition of the Day of Italian Sport in the World. The focus of the event, organized at the Italian Cultural Institute, was sport as a tool for inclusion, social and personal growth and psychophysical well-being. The day was attended by the ambassador of Italy to Ethiopia, Agostino Palese, the ambassador for Africa for sports for the blind Giovanni Avallone, and top officials from the Ministry of Sport and the Ethiopian Paralympic Committee. The program included a choreographed performance by disabled children from the Ethiopian Osc Deborah Foundation and from a five-a-side soccer match between two teams of visually impaired children. Students from the Italian state institute ‘Galileo Galilei’ also took part in the events.
