Ahaan Panday Opens Up On His Late Debut, Was 'Wronged' By Some People, 'I Was Entirely Delusional'

Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda amassed immense popularity after their debut with Yash Raj Film’s Saiyaara. Though both of them are newcomers, Ahaan isn’t a stranger to Bollywood. He is the nephew of Chunky Panday and hence, cousin of Ananya Panday. As an insider, Ahaan knew his way around a film set, yet he made his Bollywood debut after a long while. For the first time ever, the Saiyaara star has opened up about his delayed debut.

Ahaan Panday said he was ‘wronged’ by some people while talking about his late debut

While most starkids make their debuts as early as their teens, Ahaan Panday starred in his first Bollywood main lead role at the age of 27 in Saiyaara. However, as per reports, the actor was all set to make his debut much earlier with another Yash Raj Films production, but the project did not materialise. In his first interview after the release of his blockbuster first film, Saiyaara, Ahaan opened up to The Hollywood Reporter about how he felt after his initial debut was delayed. The actor shared:

“Have I felt wronged by people? Yes, I have. It wouldn’t be right for me to get personal about that though, but as an actor that’s where you take inspiration from. I would take a small moment and enlarge that for the character. I just kept putting myself into different things. There was that blind optimism, the first four-five years, where I was entirely delusional, and I think people around me could sense it.”
