However, it is a task for bachelors to get homes in Mumbai, and it was no different for Aly and Jasmin. The actor latelty revealed how getting a home in Mumbai was a task for him as he was a Muslim.
Aly Goni shares the discrimination he faced while house hunting in Mumbai due to his religion
For Aly, it was not a smooth journey, as he wanted to find a house in Mumbai. The actor had to face a lot of discrimination as he is a Kashmiri Muslim. During a recent interview with the InControversial Podcast, the actor shared being shunned by landlords despite being a known actor in the entertainment industry. He even shared that in his career, he never faced discrimination at work for being a Kashmiri Muslim, but when he and Jasmin wanted to find a home, he did face discrimination. Aly shared:
“I have never faced discrimination in the industry for being Kashmiri. However, I faced it a lot during the house hunt. Aaj bhi hota hai. Jasmin and I were searching for a house, but many people rejected us, saying, ‘Hum Muslims ko ghar nahi dete.’ The majority of them were the old people.”
