(ANSA) – VILNIUS, 19 MAG – The Italian Ambassador to Vilnius, Emanuele de Maigret, received the Lithuanian Minister of Culture, Sarunas Birutis, at the embassy.
During the meeting, devoted to cultural cooperation between Italy and Lithuania and its possible future development, de Maigret presented the minister with the permanent collection of contemporary Italian art housed in the embassy as part of the “Art in the Embassy” project.
Inaugurated last October, the collection includes 45 masterpieces by 42 artists, representative of the aesthetic currents that have grown in the Peninsula since the 1950s.
