(ANSA) – ROMA, 20 AGO – In a meeting with Energy Minister Svitlana Grynchuk, Ambassador of Italy to Ukraine Carlo Formosa discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation, with a focus on the reconstruction of energy infrastructure and the role that Italian companies will be able to play there, including in the field of renewable energy.
The minister expressed gratitude for Italy’s support, which since the beginning of the war has mobilized more than 125 million euros to strengthen the resilience of the sector, which was hard hit by Russian bombing. “The energy sector is crucial to the daily life and resilience of the Ukrainian people,” said Ambassador Formosa, “and Italy will continue to provide concrete support, flanking the Ukrainian government’s efforts with resources and expertise from the best of our Country System.
