Ambassador in Tunis inaugurates cultural heritage course

(ANSA) – TUNISI, 16 SET – The ambassador of Italy to Tunisia, Alessandro Prunas, inaugurated a course on cultural heritage and sustainable tourism, organized by La Sapienza University of Rome and the University of Manouba as part of the Share Africa program, promoted by the Ihea Foundation. This was written on its channels by the Italian Diplomatic Representation, stressing how the synergies between our universities, fundamental actors in the Italian-Tunisian partnership, are “increasingly strong.” The course focuses on two closely related areas: the enhancement of Tunisia’s extremely rich historical-artistic and archaeological heritage and the development of responsible and sustainable tourism models, with the dual objective of fostering scientific research and technical cooperation, and training competent young people capable of combining protection of cultural heritage and economic growth. In this context, the Share Africa program provides a platform for the exchange and transfer of know-how between universities, cultural institutions and practitioners.
Through seminars, workshops and joint educational modules, Tunisian and Italian students will be able to engage with international experts, developing skills that respond to global challenges related to the sustainable management of cultural heritage.
