(ANSA) – ROME, SEP 23 – The Italian government is planning anti-drone airport security and infrastructure measures, Defence Minister Guido Crosetto said Tuesday.
“We are studying measures to secure not only airports but all of Italy,” he said at the Amari base in Estonia, regarding possible anti-drone plans for Italian airports.
“I don’t see any threats to Italian airports in the near future, but the plan we are studying includes all infrastructure, which will need to be monitored and protected in the future, including airports.
“The plan exists, and every day we are making progress toward implementing it.” (ANSA).
