It was on the sets of Bigg Boss 12 that veteran singer, Anup Jalota and Jasleen Matharu raised all eyebrows when they presented themselves as a romantic pair. Their age gap on the sets of the controversial reality show had raised a lot of eyebrows. Jalota had to give clarification that their relationship was just that of a music teacher and a student. Jasleen was also seen with Anup in the movie, Woh Meri Student Hai, which was directed by her dad. Jalota recently spoke about being shocked when Jasleen revealed in the Bigg Boss 12 house of being in a relationship with the veteran singer.

It was on the sets of Bigg Boss 12 that Jalota got the biggest shock of his life as Jasleen claimed to be romantically involved with him for three years. He shared of entering the Bigg Boss 12 stage and meeting Salman Khan. Jasleen was welcomed as his partner. Anup claimed that Jasleen was his student, but she alleged about them being in a relationship. In an interview with the Lallantop, he shared:
“I told Salman that she is my student. She also sang a song, it was beautiful. When Salman asked if she was my shishya, she said that she had been in a relationship with me for three years. I thought, ‘Yeh kya hogaya? Yeh toh nahi hua tha.’ We never even knew each other that much. Main samajh gaya tha isse kuch game banta hai, mujhe laga ya toh Bigg Boss waalon ne bola hoga, usse ek awfa uthti hai.”
