Arajet, honored as the 2023 CAPA Startup Airline of the Year, has launched its full range of flight packages, services, and offers via Sabre Corporation’s global distribution system. Sabre, a leader in travel industry software and technology, now connects Arajet to an expansive global network of travel agencies.
This partnership integrates Arajet into Sabre’s Global Distribution System (GDS), enhancing the airline’s visibility and reach while offering customized travel experiences and promotions to its customers.
Arajet’s CEO and founder Víctor Pacheco, stressed that, with the start of sales through the extensive Sabre network, the airline will be able to offer a better service and experience to new users that will allow them to enjoy the best rates at the best region price and experience the Dominican service quality that we give.
“We are sure that with the collaboration of Sabre, we will continue to expand our reach on the continent and bring our offers to the millions of travelers who use its extensive network,” Pacheco said.
Operating a modern fleet of 10 Boeing Max 8 aircraft, Arajet serves 24 destinations across North, Central, South America, and the Caribbean. In 2024, it transported over one million passengers, becoming the leading airline in the Dominican Republic in terms of passenger numbers for the past two years.
Sabre’s platform provides Arajet with several advantages, including a multi-source technology platform that streamlines the consumption and standardization of travel content. This tackles the issue of content fragmentation and enriches the sales process, ultimately improving the customer purchasing experience.
Founded in September 2022, Arajet is the Caribbean’s first low-cost carrier. It operates out of Las Americas Airport in Santo Domingo, holding a Dominican Republic air operator certificate (AOC).
