The Hotel Mystere on Big Brother is open for business.
Thus far, the twists have given the aging reality TV juggernaut a new lease of life.
Looking ahead to week two, things are about to get interesting.
Veteran cast member Rachel Reilly spent a lot of her first week trying to keep her friend Amy Bingham in the house.
During Thursday’s live episode, it looked like her hard work was paying off … until the men made an alliance that threatened everything.
However, Zae Frederich was evicted by a vote of 5-9, bringing his short time in the house to an end.
In his final speech, he admitted that he wanted to take out Amy because it would weaken Rachel.
Rachel Reilly Is Back on Big Brother
Zae was well aware of the threat Rachel posed to everyone in the game, but he forgot to understand that he was a strong physical threat.
The common rule of Big Brother is to get them out before the latter part of the game.
In the aftermath of the eviction, the Big Brother live feeds remained dark for several hours as the Head of Household competition got underway.
When they returned, Jimmy Heagerty was announced the winner and quickly got plotting with his allies.
Last week, he was adamant about wanting Rachel out of the house at the first chance he got.
However, he’s grown closer to her and dropped some names on the live feeds about who he will be sending to the block.
Keanu, Kelley, and Adrian are the three names Jimmy mentioned overnight, but here’s where things get tricky:
Jimmy has already proven that he can change his mind on a dime.
New Powers Could Change the Game
Plus, there are many powers in play. That’s right, the Hotel Mystere has unveiled three new twists.
Mickey has won a takeover power that allows her to take over a HOH for a week.
There’s no telling the ins and outs of that, but I can’t see that being used this week since she’s working so closely with Jimmy.
Keanu won a power that gives him a bigger chance at winning the veto, while Kelly has won a power that could allow her to win a second veto.
All of this is getting messy!
However, with Jimmy in power and Keanu and Kelley likely to be among the initial nominations, we should probably see two of the powers used.
It’s going to be an interesting week ahead.
