(ANSA) – ROME, APR 18 – Big Tech should not be discriminated against in taxation, according to a joint statement by United States President Donald Trump and Italian Premier Giorgia Meloni issued after their meeting at the White House Thursday.
“We underscore the importance of information technology to foster free enterprise overseas. We agreed on the need for a non-discriminatory environment in terms of taxation of digital services to foster investments by cutting-edge technology companies”, read the statement released by the White House after the bilateral meeting.
