(ANSA) – ROME, JUN 9 – The centre left took the mayor’s office in run-off elections in Taranto Monday.
Pietro Bitetti had a 9-10 point lead over Francesco Tacente with over half the polling stations reporting.
In the other provincial capital up for grabs in the run-offs, Matera, the centre right’s Antonio Nicoletti had a three-point lead over Roberto Cifarelli, overturning the first round results, with half of the stations reporting. (ANSA).
