(ANSA) – ROMA, 24 SET – The consul general of Italy in Paris, Jacopo Albergoni, awarded the Order of the Star of Italy to Riccardo Baroni, honorary consul in New Caledonia. The honor, the citation reads, is a sign of the recognition of the Italian Republic ” for having dealt with great effectiveness and exceptional humanity with numerous critical situations acting in the utmost interest of the Italian community and for having been able to establish close relationships of cooperation and trust with the local authorities.” The ceremony was held in the presence of numerous personalities from the Franco-Italian institutional, political and economic world.
