‘Coyote vs. Acme’ Officially Proves It Was Worth Saving

The road has been long, winding, and full of holes, but Coyote vs. Acme is almost here at last. Against all odds, the live-action animation hybrid Looney Tunes legal comedy film survived being shelved by Warner Bros. and is finally set to appear in theaters in two weeks. It’s a testament to tireless fan campaigning, Hollywood pressure, and the efforts of distributor Ketchup Entertainment to ensure the artistic work of so many voices, from stars Will Forte and John Cena to director Dave Green, writer Samy Burch, and more, wasn’t simply locked away for a tax write-down. While Wile E. won his freedom in the end, the question remains of how good the film truly is.
