Diplo Says DJ Set at Son’s Kindergarten Graduation Was One of His ‘Most Important Sets’ of Career

Diplo is adding a new milestone to his list of career highlights: DJing his son’s kindergarten graduation.

The 47-year-old DJ and producer shared a sweet video on social media Saturday (May 23) showing himself performing for his 6-year-old son Pace and his classmates after their graduation ceremony.

“Most exclusive party of the year,” Diplo captioned the Instagram clip.

In the video, the “Where Are U Now” hitmaker — born Thomas Wesley Pentz — is seen spinning his new track “Two Steppin’” with Adrien Nunez as a group of kids dance and jump around on the lawn outside a large building.

Diplo claps along to the beat and throws his hands in the air while hyping up the young crowd. “You ready to get crazy?” he asks the children before the song kicks into high gear and the kids erupt with excitement.

“Adding my son’s kindergarten graduation to the list of most important sets of my career,” the Major Lazer co-creator wrote across the video.

The adorable moment drew reactions from celebrities in the comments section, including Cardi B, who wrote, “I love,” alongside a red heart emoji. Paris Hilton also chimed in with a raising hand emoji.

Diplo shares Pace with model and former Miss Universe contestant Jevon King. He is also father to sons Lockett, 15, and Lazer, 11, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Kathryn Lockhart.

Over the course of his lengthy career, Diplo has performed at some of the world’s biggest music festivals and nightclubs, and even delivered a unique set in Antarctica in 2023. More recently, he produced five tracks on BTS’ Billboard 200-topping album, ARIRANG.
