Chuck Grom, a renowned analyst with Gordon Haskett, reacted to Doug McMillon’s retirement announcement, stating that McMillon is unequivocally the best Walmart CEO since the company’s founder, Sam Walton. Chuck also added that McMillon’s retirement is a bit earlier than anticipated. However, on the other side, as per McMillon, this is the best time to hand over the company to its worthy successor, John Furner, who is Walmart’s Chief CEO of the U.S. division.
