Dr Wrana awarded the Star of Italy in Poland

(ANSA) – VARSAVIA, 04 APR – The Ambassador of Italy to Poland Luca Franchetti Pardo today presented the Order of the Star of Italy (OSI) at the rank of Officer to Dr Magdalena Wrana, associate professor at the Faculty of Italian Studies of the Jagiellonian University of Cracow. In explaining the reasons for the award, the Ambassador particularly recalled Dr. Wrana’s tireless contribution as an Italianist in the dissemination of Italian culture and language, as well as her continuous and praiseworthy commitment as Assistant to the Honorary Consul of Italy in Cracow – activities that have significantly influenced the strengthening of cultural relations between Italy and Poland. Dr. Wrana has always distinguished herself for her profound dedication in assisting her compatriots. Ambassador Franchetti Pardo also wished to thank Dr. Wrana for her support for the activities of the Italian Embassy in Warsaw and the IIC in Krakow on the occasion of numerous initiatives and institutional visits, including the State visit of the President of the Republic in April 2023.
