EasyJet has completed the installation of Future Air Navigation System C (FANS-C) with Collaboration Air Traffic Control (ATC) on 54 of its fleet aircraft, improving flight operational management. The system is now fully on board with the airline’s A320 and A321neo family and is incorporated into all newly delivered aircraft from Airbus.
FANS-C allows the sharing of real-time aircraft trajectory with route calculating ATC, thus enabling easier flying. The system ports the instructions with controllers; altitude and other changes by text,” which reduces chances of misunderstanding. The transmissions of instructions eliminate delays improving the time efficiencies and the safety of flights.
EasyJet was able to save approximately 334 tonnes of fuel using the system. The savings fuel greatly contributes to the airline’s sustainability efforts. The installation complies with EasyJet’s objectives on operational efficiency and minimized the ecological footprint business objectives.
Fleet Expansion and New Routes in 2025
In line with its priorities focused on customer experience and network growth, EasyJet has further advanced on its fleet expansion and new route openings for 2025. For the financial year, EasyJet received seven out of nine Airbus A320neo aircraft, with the final two delivered ahead of schedule. These aircraft equipped with FANS-C technology are easyJet’s’ and the industry’s strides towards sustainability due to their fuel efficiency and lower emissions.
Skiathos Expansion
EasyJet has markedly increased its offerings to the Greek island of Skiathos, a well-known holiday destination, providing more than 96,000 seats which is a 35% growth from the previous year. This expansion comes with six new routes which will be operational until November 2, 2025, signaling the longest operating season ever provided by the airline to this beautiful location. Aberdeen to Paris Route
Beginning 27th October, 2025, EasyJet will be commencing a new direct flight from Aberdeen Airport to Paris Charles de Gaulle, operating on a bi-weekly schedule every Monday and Friday. The flight will operate from late October 2025 to early January 2026, and will then resume from February 2 to March 20, 2026. The connection will enable greater EasyJet travel between the two cities, strengthening the airline’s foothold further into the UK and French markets.

Air Europa Partnership
An EasyJet collaboration with Air Europa emerged in 2025 and became one of the airline’s highlights for the year. This collaboration has also led to the expansion of EasyJet’s interline platform, Worldwide by EasyJet, which now boasts over 5,000 new weekly connections to 25 additional destinations.
