Exempt mental patients from new highway code norms – docs

(ANSA) – ROME, JAN 17 – The Italian Society of Psychiatry (SIP) on Friday asked the government to exempt patients on psychoactive drugs from the new ‘zero tolerance’ highway code norms on drug taking, saying many prescription drugs mirrored the effects of illegal narcotics.
SIP urged the government to set up an expert panel on the issue.
