A former Texas A&M football coach has earned another prestigious award for his achievements leading the Aggies from the late 1980s to the early 2000s.
The Texas Sports Hall of Fame announced Tuesday that R.C. Slocum will receive the Lamar Hunt Lifetime Achievement Award. He is the eighth recipient of the award and will be recognized at the Lamar Hunt Lifetime Achievement Legends Gala on Friday, November 13, at Kyle Field’s Ford Hall of Champions, before Texas A&M’s home contest against Tennessee.
