(ANSA) – MADRID, 16 GIU – The Consul General of Barcelona, Gabriele Luca Fava, representing Ambassador Giuseppe Buccino Grimaldi, and the Defence Attaché, Captain Massimiliano Siragusa, accompanied the Italian National Aerobatic Team – the Frecce Tricolori – to the ‘Aire 25’ aerial festival, an unprecedented show in the history of Spanish aviation, which took place yesterday, Sunday 15 June, in San Javier (Murcia), in south-eastern Spain.
The event, which counted on the presence of King Felipe VI, commemorated the 40th anniversary of the Spanish ‘Patrulla Aguila’ and brought together the best European aerobatic patrols (France, Italy, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), along with other aircraft in service with the Spanish Air Force and historical aircraft.
Although on this occasion the Frecce Tricolori took part in the event with a reduced formation, for logistical reasons linked to the very tight national schedule, they are the only aerobatic patrol in the world to perform simultaneous flight displays with 10 aircraft.
