(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 17 – A man who was part of a gang that used pepper spray to stage a robbery but instead sparked a stampede that killed six people in a disco near Ancona in 2018 and went on the run after being let out for his graduation was captured in Barcelona on Thursday, sources said.
Andrea Cavallari, 26, vanished after being granted a release permit to defend his thesis to graduate from Bologna University earlier this month.
He was serving a term of 11 years and 10 months at Bologna’s Dozza Prison for his part in the deadly crush at the disco at Corinaldo on December 8, 2018. (ANSA).
