(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 20 – It is fundamental to recover the EU-US relationship, President Sergio Mattarella said Tuesday.
“The role of the European Council is crucial at this time when the international community is looking for new balances that guarantee peace and serenity in the world, he said Mattarella when meeting the President of the European Council Antonio Costa. “We are for an international community based on rules and cooperation and we must be protagonists in a critical situation.
“To mend a fabric of rules and a situation of stability, an authoritative and prestigious EU capable of being a point of reference in the world is needed.
“It is fundamental to recover the Euro-Atlantic relationship”, he said (ANSA).
