There, I said it.

Lisa Kudrow may be most well-known for her role in Friends, but she struck gold with her portrayal of the lead character in The Comeback.

So, it gives me great excitement to report that The Comeback Season 3 has been confirmed, 10 years on from the last chapter.

Lisa Kudrow is Back for One Last The Comeback

Since premiering in 2005, viewers have been captivated by Valerie and her unconventional perspective on the entertainment industry as she navigates its ever-evolving landscape.

The series has always been hilarious, but it will be interesting to see where it goes during its third and final chapter.

Yes, the latest installment will serve as the series’ swan song — and truthfully, three seasons feels like the perfect way to go out.

The TV landscape has changed again since Valerie was last on-screen. These days, even well-watched shows are getting the pink slip.

It’s been a nightmare, and perhaps Valerie Cherish will help spotlight the challenges currently plaguing the industry.

No plot details have been revealed, but it’s hard to imagine the series returning without Valerie and those in her orbit offering up their signature, colorful commentary.

There are few shows like The Comeback, and it’s always notable when a critically acclaimed series returns.

Knowing this is the end is bittersweet, but hey — I’ll take all the The Comeback HBO is willing to give.

Michael Patrick King (And Just Like That) is on board to bring The Comeback Season 3 to fruition.

Hopefully, the Show Avoids And Just Like That’s Issues

And Just Like That has been divisive as a Sex and the City follow-up, but the hope is that The Comeback will end with vigor rather than fizzle out, like a show that has run its course.

“Valerie Cherish has found her way back to the current television landscape. Neither of us are surprised she did,” King and Kudrow said in a comically short joint statement.

“No matter what the industry throws at her, Valerie Cherish is a survivor,” said Amy Gravitt, Executive Vice President, HBO & Max Comedy Programming.

“On the 20th Anniversary of her debut, Michael Patrick King and Lisa Kudrow have brilliantly scripted her return to HBO and we can’t wait to see that.”

HBO has a track record of reviving critically acclaimed shows for short runs or even films.

In the past, we’ve seen it with Curb Your Enthusiasm and Sex and the City, to name a few.
