Popular veteran stars and evergreen couple, Dharmendra and Hema Malini on May 2, 2025 have completed 45 years of their marriage ceremony. Dharmendra fell in love with the Dream Girl back in 1970 when she was one of the top actresses. Together, they have two children- Esha and Ahana. Hema is not Dharmendra’s first wife. It was in 1954 when he was married to Prakash Kaur. However, as the couple celebrates 45 years of togetherness, did you know there was a time when Hema revealed being happy as Dharmendra stayed away?

Dharmendra, who was earlier married to Prakash, has kids- Sunny, Bobby, Vijeeta and Ajeeta. Sunny and Bobby are stars like their step sister, Esha. However, the couple who have been married for 45 years has a unique living style. Hema does not stay under the same roof as Dharmendra, as he stays with Prakash and their kids. Hema, once in an interview with the Lehren, had shared the reasons behind their staying separate and about their complicated marriage. Hema had shared that she was content and was quoted as saying:
“I am not feeling bad about it, or sulking about it. I am happy with myself. I have my two children, and I have brought them up very well. Of course, he (Dharmendra) was there, always. Everywhere.”
