In a surprising turn of events, former model and TV personality, Hong Jin Kyung, has confirmed her separation from her husband, Kim Jung Woo. The pair was married for 22 years before they headed for a separation. According to varied media reports, Hong and Kim got married in 2003 and now have ended their long-standing relationship very silently. Both of them have a daughter named Rael a.k.a Kim Rachel, who was born in 2010 after undergoing seven years of fertility treatment.

According to varied entertainment sources, Hong and Kim want to focus on their lives individually and finalised their divorce via mutual consent. A source close to the former pair told Dispatch that there was no fault on either side. They lived well together for 22 years and simply agreed to part ways to live the rest of their lives separately, but peacefully. However, Hong did take permission from her daughter, who supported the decision of her parents. Rael was mature enough to accept and understand that her parents did not want to stay together. She supported their decision, but Kim reportedly does visit Hong’s house as both of them continue to keep a strong relationship. It was in 1993 when she debuted as a supermodel and then had a career as an actress, comedian, YouTuber and also a kimchi entrepreneur.
