Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby, who spent two seasons at Indiana in 2022 and 2023 before transferring to Cincinnati, is eligible to play for the Red Raiders this season after being granted a temporary injunction against the NCAA on Monday.

Sorsby was previously deemed ineligible by the NCAA after his gambling activity at both Indiana and Cincinnati, which included bets on the Hoosiers during his time with the program, came to light recently. He will sit out for the first two games of Texas Tech’s season but, as of now, will be eligible to play against Houston on September 18.
