Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping‘s much-awaited trailer dropped on November 20, 2025, and a brand new chapter of Panem opens with a chilling glow. The teaser trailer transports the audience 24 years before the original trilogy and straight into the brutal 50th Hunger Games, aka the Second Quarter Quell. The trailer further revealed that in this twisted edition of the Games, every district must send double the tributes, raising the total to 48. Right in the centre of this madness is a young Haymitch Abernathy, whose character is played by Joseph Zada.

Haymitch Abernathy was spotted forming a fragile alliance with fellow tribute Maysilee Donner, whose role is played by Mckenna Grace. Moving on to the film’s Capitol side, it features a star-studded lineup that includes the likes of Whitney Peak as Lenore Dove Baird, Ralph Fiennes as President Snow, Kieran Culkin as Caesar Flickerman, Jesse Plemons as Plutarch Heavensbee, and Elle Fanning as Effie Trinket. Apart from these, we also have Maya Hawke, Lili Taylor, Ben Wang, and Kelvin Harrison Jr. reprising familiar faces in pivotal roles.
