Watch live as Hurricane Erin tracks along the U.S. East Coast. Now a large Category 2 hurricane with maximum sustained winds near 105 mph, Erin is bringing dangerous storm surge, coastal flooding, and strong winds to parts of North Carolina and Virginia as it moves northward offshore.

Erin strengthened quickly over unusually warm Atlantic waters and is forecast to remain a hurricane through mid-week. With hurricane-force winds extending up to 90 miles from the center and tropical-storm-force winds reaching 265 miles, Erin’s impacts are being felt far from its core. While the storm is expected to eventually curve out to sea without a direct U.S. landfall, it will continue to produce flooding, heavy surf, and hazardous rip currents along much of the East Coast.
