The Air India AI 171 crash still haunts the families of all the passengers onboard who died in the fatal accident. Within minutes, at least 240 people lost their lives, and one of them was the only survivor of the Air India flight, Vishwash Kumar Ramesh. However, while he survived, he lost his younger brother. For the first time, Vishwash recalled the horrific last moments.

Vishwash Kumar Ramesh recalled the horrific crash

It was the hot summer day of June when the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, working as a passenger flight, was bound for London’s Gatwick airport, which crashed within seconds of take-off. Ramesh survived and became the sole survivor of the crash, where everyone else died. In an interview with Sky News, Ramesh revealed that he thought he was going to die, but when he opened his eyes, he realised he was alive. He said:

“I thought I was going to die … when I opened my eyes and realised I was alive.”
