(ANSA) – ROME, AUG 28 – In June 2025, both the seasonally adjusted industry and services turnover indices returned to monthly growth, both in value and volume, Istat said Thursday.
The stats agency emphasized, however, that the quarterly trend is different: in the second quarter, industry recorded a cyclical decline, while services showed positive growth.
In June 2025, industry turnover increased by 1.2% in value and 1.9% in volume.
Growth was 1.5% in the domestic market (+2.7% in volume) and 0.4% in the foreign market (+0.2% in volume).
The services sector saw growth of 0.9% in value and 0.5% in volume, with positive trends in both wholesale trade (+1.4% in value and +1.3% in volume) and other services (+0.3% in both value and volume).
In June, in year-on-year terms and excluding calendar effects, the picture is positive for both macrosectors, according to Istat (industry up 0.3%, services up 3.6% in value).
Overall, however, in the first half of this year, turnover in industry decreased compared to the same period of the previous year (-0.4%), while it was positive for services, both in value and volume (+1.9%). (ANSA).
