(ANSA) – ROMA, 26 GIU – Italian design was among the protagonists in Copenhagen at ‘3daysofdesign’, Scandinavia’s most prestigious design fair.
For the occasion, the Italian Embassy offered meetings on specific topics related to the history, excellence and school of Italian design, organised at the Italian Residence and included in the official programme of the event. Chiara Squarcina, Scientific Director of the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia, presented a lecture entitled ‘Glass: a Never-Ending Story, on the origins of glass art in Venice and Murano.
Starting from the origins and tracing the development of the art of glass, starting with the master glassmaker and the transformation of the incandescent paste, the lecture retraced the path that leads, even today, to the training of young glassmakers and designers, whose skill the audience that had flocked to the event was also able to admire in some of the works of the Abate Zanetti Glass School of Murano, exhibited in the Residence for the occasion.
