(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 1 – Premier Giorgia Meloni said Italy was leading the way in Europe with its National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) after the European Commission endorsed its request for payment of the seventh installment of its NRRP worth 18.3 billion euros.
“With the payment of the seventh installment, Italy will confirm its leading position in Europe in the advancement of the plan, with more than 140 billion euros received, 72% of the total financial package and 100% of the objectives planned in the first seven installments, amounting to 334 milestones and targets, objectives all achieved in full compliance with the timetable set out by the Commission,” Meloni said in a statement on the government’s website.
“This is also a qualitative record, we have shown that we are capable of virtuous use of the instruments that Europe has provided us with and we have become a model for other member states”. (see related). (ANSA).
