(ANSA) – ROMA, 20 GIU – The thirty-first edition of the Festival de la Bande Dessinée (Comics Festival) in Contern, Luxembourg, closes today. This is an unmissable event for fans, and the Italian Embassy is a partner in the event. Among the numerous international guests, who participated in this year’s edition, were also 11 Italian cartoonists. The Italian Embassy, which is present with its own stand, is exhibiting three volumes, designed for the international public and produced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the aim of enhancing Italian cultural heritage and know-how: ‘Pimpa viaggia in Italia’ (Pimpa Travels in Italy), Altan’s creation that accompanies children on a journey through the regions, traditions and flavours of our country; Geronimo Stilton, the mouse journalist who guides young readers to discover the natural and artistic wonders of the Italian coasts; and a special issue of Diabolik, presented as a preview during the Festival, set in some of the most iconic places of the Peninsula.
