(ANSA) – CITTÀ DEL MESSICO, 23 LUG – Following the signing last June 18 of the national agreement with the president of Concanaco Servytur at the federal level, Octavio de la Torre, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Mexico (Ccim), represented by President Lorenzo Vianello, organized a meeting on July 18 at the Hacienda of Trancoso near the city of Zacatecas, with the local chambers of Zacatecas, Durango, San Luis Potosí, Aguascalientes, Puerto Vallarta and Acámbaro-the latter representing all the chambers in the state of Guanajuato-with the aim of expanding investment, trade and collaboration opportunities between Italy and Mexico.
The initiative was coordinated by Jesús López del Bosque, president of the Cámara nacional de comercio (Canaco) in Zacatecas, in collaboration with Domenico Finno, Ccim’s representative in the Bajío Norte area, and with the participation of Andrea Gianvenuti, from the Economic-Commercial Office of the Italian Embassy.
The event was attended by the Minister of Tourism of the state of Aguascalientes, Mauricio González López, the Minister of Economy of the state of Durango, Miguel Rosas Palafox, and the Ministers of Tourism and Economy of the state of Zacatecas, Le Roy Barragán Ocampo and Jorge Miranda Castro.
“During the month of August,” Vianello explained to ANSA, “we will evaluate the first projects that will be undertaken under these agreements, probably in the area of tourism promotion, and in October we will organize an event where we will present the different representatives to the Italian community in Mexico.
The Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Concanaco Servytur México) is a public interest business association founded in 1917. The organization represents, defends and promotes the interests of companies operating in the service sector of the economy throughout the country. It is structured through 257 local chambers and 600 branches distributed in 1,857 municipalities, which enables it to bring together more than 650,000 companies. It is the largest and most representative business association in Mexico and actively collaborates as a key advisor to the federal government in the design of public policies.
