Italy soccer coaches ask Israel suspended by FIFA, UEFA

(ANSA) – ROME, AUG 19 – Italian soccer coaches, ANSA has learned, have sent a letter to the president of the Italian Soccer Federation (FIGC), Gabriele Gravina, asking for action for Gaza and for the request to be submitted to UEFA and FIFA for Israel’s temporary suspension from international competitions.
The Italian national football team will face Israel in the World Cup qualifiers between September and October.
The request by the Association of Italian Coaches, Assoallenatori, was filed Tuesday.
