The Tamil film, Kaantha is set in the 1950s, and it features the cinema of that era. The film opens with a powerful director, ‘Ayya’ (played by Samuthirakani), who deeply cares about his film, ‘Saantha’, which once couldn’t be completed. He dreams to revive it and finish the way he wanted. However, tension arises when ‘TK Mahadevan’ (played by Dulquer Salmaan) joins the film. ‘TK’ once helped ‘Ayya’, but now, he is a superstar.
